What is Atomichelix OpenPGP?

This program adds the ability to send and receive PGP encrypted email messages on
your BlackBerry smartphone.
What OS versions will Atomichelix OpenPGP work with?

Version 4.1 and higher. There are specific downloads for higher versions in order to
take advantage of higher version functionalities (e.g.: the trackball and menu key
in OS version 4.2+).
Version 1.3.0 (and previous) do not work on OS 5.0 due to a deadlocking bug that RIM
introduced. We have created a workaround in version 1.4.0, so that the application
will correctly function on an OS 5.0 device.
Where can I get support for Atomichelix OpenPGP?

If your issue is not covered in this FAQ, please
contact
Atomichelix with the specifics of the problem. We here at Atomichelix are concerned
with having our software be of the highest quality, so are glad to fix bugs and issues
with the program so that our customers using it can benefit from updates.
Why do I need public keys?

Public keys are used to encrypt something for the owner of the private key that public
key is paired with. You will need an active public key from each person you want to
send an encrypted message to.
Why do I need a private key?

You will need a private key in order for you to decrypt messages other people send to
you encrypted with the public key that private key is paired with, or for you to digitally
sign messages so that others can verify the message comes from you.
I already have a private key. How can I import it?

Please see
this
tutorial for how to import a private key into Atomichelix OpenPGP.
I'm trying to import a key in an ".asc" file and my OS version is 5.0. How can I import it?

For some reason, on OS 5.0, the ".asc" filetypes are registered to be
handled by a RIM application that doesn't exist on the device. Because of this,
the Atomichelix OpenPGP handler can not be registered for ".asc" filetypes, so we
suggest just renaming the ".asc" file to ".ahk". For example, if the name of the
file was "public_key.asc", rename it to "public_key.ahk" and open it -- the
Atomichelix OpenPGP handler will be able to open the ".ahk" file.
My GPG private key isn't importing correctly -- it keeps telling me 'Invalid Password'. What's wrong?

Please see
this
link for a description of how to export the key from GPG so it will import
correctly into Atomichelix OpenPGP.
